The entire software infrastructure and content management system of Komatsu’s comprehensive digital platform for its Turkey operations was developed to address the brand’s extensive product catalog challenges.
The main challenge was to build a flexible system capable of managing hundreds of models and countless technical specifications.
To handle this complex data structure, the project architecture was built on the .NET-based Umbraco CMS. Within Umbraco, detailed and interconnected content schemas such as Product Category, Product Model, and Technical Specification were created. This allowed all technical data—from engine power and bucket capacity to operating weight and emission class—to be entered into the system as standardized, manageable fields. This structure also lays the foundation for future features like product comparisons and advanced filtering.
Similarly modular structures were implemented to manage rental and used machine portfolios, enabling all business lines to be managed from a single central platform.
A clean and intuitive interface was developed to present Komatsu’s strong industrial identity clearly, even when displaying complex technical data. To help users easily find the nearest sales and service locations, a map-based dealer locator module was integrated into the platform.
The final result is a high-performance, easy-to-manage website that strengthens Komatsu Turkey’s industry leadership digitally, provides rich information for potential customers, and supports sales processes effectively.
